Blender Add-on | Quick Rail Sweep & Profile Surfaces

Blender addon that can quickly create rail sweep surfaces and profile surfaces in edit mode.

How to use

- select the vertices of rail curves and generation curves

- if rail curves and generation curves are connected, please activate the connection vertex

- right-click, and choose rail sweep. you can adjust parameters by the panel at the bottom-left corner

Features

1 generation curve, 1 rail curve

The generation curve will sweep along the rail curve to generate a surface.

1 generation curve, 2 rail curve

The generation curve will guided by two rail curves at the same time.

2 generation curve, 1 rail curve

Generate a transition surface between two generation curves, and guided by the rail curve.

Parameters

Mode: Sweeping modes

Parallel: Factor controls whether to sweep parallel or follow the rail curve's tangent

Swap: Swap the generation curve and rail curve

Twist: Number of additional rotations while sweeping

Shape evenly: When creating profile surfaces, whether make the thickness uniform or not

Filp Normals: Manually flip the normal of the generated surface
